The statistics and the main causes of accidents in the road and transport
environment in the world and in Ukraine are analyzed. It is shown that road traffic
accidents involving pedestrians make a significant contribution to this statistics. The
current state of the problem of preventing a collision on a pedestrian and the existing
intellectual systems for supporting the driver's activity are examined. Modern GPS
navigation systems allow you to accurately determine the location of the car on the
map. On-board computers of modern cars have a very wide range of control capabilities
of the systems and mechanisms of the car without the participation of the driver. All this
in combination makes it possible to develop an intelligent transport system. To minimize
the impact of human factors on the speed of traffic on the road, the system of automatic
topographic regulation of the car's movement is proposed. The system is based on a
modern GPS navigation system and the capabilities of modern on-board car computers.
