Abstract

The manual deals with the aircraft propeller overview. It contains the geometrical and kinematic performances of propeller and its thrust, power, efficiency, operational modes, forces and moments acting on its blades. The manual also deals with the arrangement and the construction of the variable-pitch propeller hubs and their units. The manual also has the characteristics and the description of the massproduced propellers. The manual will be interesting for the students studying «Design and Dynamics of aircraft engines and power plants».

Стисло викладено загальні відомості про повітряні гвинти. Розглянуто геометричні й кінематичні характеристики гвинта, тягу, потужність, ККД гвинта, режими роботи гвинта, силовий вплив на лопаті гвинта. Викладено основні відомості про будову і конструкцію втулок гвинтів змінного кроку, їх окремих вузлів. Наведено основні дані серійних зразків повітряних гвинтів, описано їх конструкцію. Для англомовних студентів, які вивчають курс «Конструкція і динаміка авіаційних двигунів і енергетичних установок».
