Development of the CAM program for CNC machine manufacturing of the part

Abstract

An example of the development of the operation of mechanical processing of a part by milling and generating a numerical control program in the SolidCAM software for its manufacture on a CNC machine is presented. Basic settings in SolidCAM are given with a description of the program interface. The sequence of actions during the milling of the part, from the creation of the CAM project to the generation of the numerical control program, is given. The algorithm of actions while choosing a geometry for milling, technology settings, tool and milling modes, visualization of trajectories of tool movements, etc., is outlined. Наведено приклад проєктування операції механічного оброблення деталі фрезеруванням та отримання керуючої програми в програмному середовищі SolidCAM для її виготовлення на верстаті з числовим програмним керуванням. Подано основні налаштування в SolidCAM з описом інтерфейсу програми. Розглянуто послідовність дій при обробленні деталі фрезеруванням – від створення CAM-проєкту до отримання керуючої програми. Показано алгоритм дій при виборі поверхні для оброблення, налаштувань технології, інструменту та режимів фрезерування, візуалізації траєкторій переміщень інструменту тощо.
