Theory of Series

Abstract

This study aid deals with such important part of the Higher Mathematics as Series and consists of 4 chapters. The first chapter on number series contains theoretical material and exercises, the most of which are followed by solutions. Functional series (particularly power and trigonometric) are presented in the second and the third chapters. They are constructed according to the same pattern as the first one. The fours chapter consists of problems and exercises for homework. The material of the aid corresponds with the program of the "Higher Mathematics", which is taught in High Technical Educational Establishments. For high-school students who wish to obtain deep knowledge of mathematics. Could be useful also for graduates and postgraduates.

Матеріал посібника стосується такої важливої теми вищої математики, як ряди, і викладений у чотирьох розділах. Перший розділ містить теоретичний матеріал з теорії чисельних рядів, що ілюструється розв’язаними прикладами. Функціональні ряди (зокрема, степеневі та тригонометричні) наведено у другому та третьому розділах і викладено за зразком першого. Останній розділ складається із задач і прикладів для самостійної роботи. Матеріал узгоджено з вимогами програми курсу "Вища математика", який викладається у вищих технічних навчальних закладах. Для студентів вищої школи, які бажають поглибити свої знання у математиці. Може також бути корисним для дипломників і аспірантів.
